I missed this, a new variation of hipsters.
TBB posters in the Pacific NW...details.
Is there really a difference or is this a generation from emo-hipster-yuccie?

It's time to ditch the beard! Forget the Hipster, there's a new crowd in town called the YUCCIES (Young Urban Creatives)... so are you one of them?

    • Hipsters have heavily influenced trends or the last 10 years
    • But there is a new breed of young person on the scene called a Yuccie
    • The Yuccie is similar to the hipster but also strives for money and success

But while the hipster has been a source of much derision over the years, it appears that the yuccie may be even more irritating.
The reason for this is that they aspire to be as creative and cool as a hipster, but they also want to have the income and life of luxury that comes with being a yuppie.
According the the Urban dictionary, Hipsters are: 'A subculture of men and women typically in their 20's and 30's that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity and intelligence.'

Yuccies have left university and cut their teeth in the world of business during a recession.

On top of this, they have huge student loans, have seen the launch of zero hours contracts and are doomed to stay in the rental market until well into their thirties.
This environment makes it much more difficult to become a hipster who cares little about what they're being paid, so long as they are honing their craft.

While a yuccie might aspire to be a struggling artiste, the reality is that they need a decent income.
According to The Times, one of the easiest ways to marry these two ideas is by getting a job in technology industry.

I have a relative that's leaning in that direction (even though I think he doesn't realize it). I'm going to fuck that kid's head right up.

I'm taking him to the rifle range.

I'm not a hipster or a yuccie, I would classify myself as a "good ole' boy"
