I get around 5 or 6 hours a night, a little more on the weekends because I'll sleep in until 7:30 or so.

I try to get 8, but it takes 2 hours to fall asleep, so then I end up sleeping for 10.

I hate all you guys who get a full 8-10 nightly. If you want to keep it that way, get that bitch on the pill asap and watch her take them every day.

Been an insomniac my entire life, I guess. Tried tampering with my neurotransmitters, hormones, diet, activity level and regular bedtime. Enough Ambien or Benzos to knock out a water buffalo just makes me wake up about 6 hours later feeling groggy and somewhat psychotic.

i wouldn't say i've ever had much difficulty sleeping or insomnia(tho' i have gone thru some insomniac periods either caused thru drug-use or stress) but it always takes me a while to get to sleep - like i goto bed and it takes me approx an hour to fall asleep. And throughout the night i wakeup to roll over side to side at least half a dozen times.

so if i goto bed with ten hours before i wake up i will maybe get 8 actual sleeping hours.

as i've gotten older tho' i've noticed that i don't need as much sleep. I still need bare minimum 8 but as a teenager i would need a solid ten, eleven hours after a long day.

Once I hit the pillow, I'm out. I wake up in the same position, I laid down in to go to sleep.

I've never had insomnia and only 1-2x a year, I wake up around 3-4am and not be able to fall back asleep.

I've been able to sleep until 730am, but can't remember when I've slept past that.
If there's been a major time change I can, but that doesn't really count
I have a much easier time flying back stateside vs coming back to the EU.
Last time it took me 3-4 days to get my sleep back on track.

Daylight Savings Time changes messes my sleep up. I've been oversleeping all week. I'm used to going to bed at a certain time, so I end up going to bed later and needing to get up earlier.

Oh....that fuckin' guy. I remember when he used to be the little cartoon devil who stands on your shoulder saying things like "Do it!" and "D'ya wanna be a loser your whole life?" and - my favorite - "Go on, fag! ....not scared of blood, are ya?" Then one day nobody but mummified Dominican crones believed in devils any longer, and he started showing up dressed like Freddy from SCOOBY DOO, smoking Nat Shermans and armed with some of the lamest reverse psychology come-ons imaginable.

    Yeah, fuck Swim.

0-7. Sometimes I get no sleep and feel fine; other times, it's terrible. Sometimes I sleep 4 hours and feel great. Some days I sleep for 7 hours and feel groggy as all hell when I wake up. The days when I sleep for more than 7 hours typically follow 48+ straight hours of wakefulness. Been that way since I was a little kid, except when I was a little kid I could go without sleep for several days and still have an insane amount of energy. Quintessential "Party Animal DNA," I guess - or should I say "paddy" animal.

SWIM = Someone Who Isn't Me.

Somehow the guys on Drugs Forum, Shroomery, Bluelight, etc. got the idea that if you say "swim" instead of "me" or "I", law enforcement will never figure out that you're confessing to use of illegal drugs. Now, I'm sure that works just fine if you're reminiscing online about the acid you dropped last weekend, but I have a hunch that you're still getting a knock on the door at 5am if you say, "Swim bought an entire brick last night, and that shit is some fire".

Its easy to ignore the little devil telling you to take a blade to the guy who didn't hold the door, but when the angel on the other side -who sounds suspiciously like my father- says, "Throw a couple jabs to set him up for a round kick"...
