Depends where you are, i hate the north of Italy in the summer because of the humidity. Night or day the place is like a sauna, except the mountains of course.
The south even the southern part of Sicily where i spend a lot of time is more bearable due to the different kind of heat.
The centre where i am is the best option, not too cold in the winter and not too hot in the summer. I dont have air/con myself and turn it off whenever im in some hotel that has it, It gives me a bad chest and neck ache even in cars.
Having said that whenever it gets too hot at night i usually sleep on the floor, and a good dose of vino usually helps me get a good nights sleep.
I find it also helps in the summer by just eating salads and fruit and avoiding heavy meals.

When it's cold, I get the best sleep when I bundle up under two or three blankets, and then run the ceiling fan.

We recently moved out of a house that didn't have A/C. Summers were brutal.

Of course, this doesn't imply causation.

I hate heat. Upstairs here in winter is pretty cold. I use a electric blanket before bed, then sleep.

I dropped the heat to 65 at night.
I've never owned an electric blanket.
