I admit that I have a beat up pair of Børn Lionel's that I wear during the warm months.

Sometimes you have to pay a little more for comfort and durability.

Sandals are OK for lounging near the home base but they aren't as practical for exploring a new city -- you have to have a combo of both sturdiness/protection and comfort that you have to pay for to get. Some may say that describes sneakers, but not necessarily. I prefer a good pair of leather shoes with a sneaker-like soles -- it's not as low-class as sneakers, at the same time they provide lots of comfort, and leather is easier to clean/shine.

Black leather shoes that you can spite-shine is my choice :agree: :hitler:

In all due fairness to Jesus and Caesar I don't think humanity had progressed beyond wearing sandals or some variation thereof roundabout 2,000 years ago. :hm:

Sandals are for the beach & slapping girls bottoms with, I would think.

I wear 80's CDN Garrisons. All business.

Sandals are good only for those times when you absolutely can't go barefoot but putting on shoes is a pain in the ass. Otherwise I'd rather be barefoot.

I wear sneakers 90% of the time when I'm not at work and there's not a foot of snow or rain on the ground. My preference are retrosyle Addias re-issues, like the superstars. Nike shoes look far too niggerish to me.

As a woman, I prefer to wear sandals when weather or event permits.
As I said in the shoutbox, shoes/socks are too confining.
