I'm due for an upgrade next month. Blackberry is good except for battery issues. Internet is very cheap too. Any other suggestions?

Be careful tying yourself to Blackberry. The company is headed for a major fall fairly soon.

I watched Blackberry makers RIM (Research In Motion) swindle a local city, with promise of 25 000 jobs. It worked for the first 10 years, until they announced massive lay offs and local people's property taxes went through the roof. Problem with Blackberry is they relied too strongly on the Blackberry, which was outdated technology 3 years ago. They still haven't came out with anything new, whilst the iPod, iPad have dominated the market with fresh ideas.

    Stay away from Blackberry.

Thanks all. I'll see what is on offer when the contract comes up for renewal.

Vis and Bob are right about not tying yourself to Blackberry.

I finally broke down and got an iPhone 3GS several months ago and really like it - well, that's about all I've got in terms of any smart phone advice.

Prior to that I just had a flip phone.

I've been thinking about an iPhone, rust. I just hope my SP has that on offer when I renew.
