It's kind of funny to me that "AOL" can still drop tens of thousands of dollars for "charity." Remember this guy? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Case I am honestly a bit nostalgic for the old AOL, Prodigy, and CompuServe days. The internet was so new and interesting then, at least to me, even though you could rack up an outrageous bill. Going from crappy Nintendo games and Arcades to the ability to play an on-line game with and against people from across the country was pretty unreal. Even the "Sega Channel" and "XBAND" were pretty awesome developments. The country was still pretty white and economically prosperous then, too. So much for progress. I dare say that the folks like Case and Gates who made a mint back then to later invest a good portion of it strictly in the demise of the country should probably be considered some form of treasonous criminal.
