tesla showed the way but Edison put him out of business
Fuel-cell EV´s perhaps make more sense. For example, if ur in Puerto Rico and the power goes out ur screwed in a charge-up mobile but with fuel-cells u'll still be able to run on fuels such as methanol or hydrogen. Also u don't need to start another war to rob some lithium rich country in South America o' lithium.
Question still remains how u'll be producing dat hydrogen or methanol without having some megacorporation shoving some peasant off his land to make way for GM biofuel crops but that's another problem for another thread.
If all cars are electric, then if electricity goes down cars won't be able to drive after that.
I would take the bus before I would buy an electric car
I'll believe this load o' bull when I see it.
In da land 'o China...... that's where the money is. GM obviously looking at the bottom line for the next few decades, and for a reliable place to sell their garbage products. But I think they may have miscalculated on the it being "The Chinese Century" and all that hype. If I was GM management I'd hedge my bets.
