Seriously, wtf, I thought @Bluto was kidding when he posted about it
Yacht Rock is white as fuck.
White as a mullet.
We discussed Yacht Rock b4 at the World Famous Beerbarrel. Now grow ur mullet & Michael Mcdonald beard and put on ur sockless loafers & Ray-Ban Wayfarers and pass da pineapple.
"Don't disturb the smooth".
S m o o o o t h..........
Not technically yacht rock but some flirting here with nautical themes
I tried to listen to it again, today.
I switched it back to classic rock.
How Yacht Rock Ended Up on Sirius XM
But there is a key connective thread running through it, according to Besack: “If you want to break it down in two words, yacht rock is smooth music.”http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2015/10/12/how-yacht-rock-ended-up-on-sirius-xm/
Yeah, I hated it as a kid. Punk and New Wave were a Godsend.
I must say it lends itself a certain charm as the years lengthen. Yacht Rock (as it is called now, perfect!) is densely Hwite.
Smooove.......but not Yacht Rock.
not quite yacht rock but if owned a yacht nilsson would be necessary playing
At the risk of being a pedant, Yacht Rock is circa 1975 - 1982. Usually written and sung by Yanks or possibly Canucks.
A state of mind baby.
Giada's #1 pick: Bruce Hornsby: Mandolin Rain.
(It doesn't list 1-30?)
@Lord Haw Haw: 21,213 Points (Sorry but must disagree.......in the strongest terms.)
Out of curiosity, why such disdain for his music?
Gotta have some Little River Band in there too.
