I reckon it'd be a little bit after the Trojan War. The Grecian man of letters Erasthonese dated the Trojan War from 1194 to 1184 BC. The year 1177 BC would within the timeframe of the wanderings of the heroes like Aeneas and Odysseus that are contained in fables like Aeneid and Odyssey respectively.

'Bronze Age Collapse' is what is called for the time period when every major civilization 'cept Egypt collapsed for some reason. Assyria, Hittites, Mitannians, and so on- only Egypt survived but went into protracted decline and eventuall fallen when they got conquered by the neo-Assyrians.
